Castle on a Cloud

It's rather late, my roommate is asleep, and we leave early in the morning, so this will be short.

Today began with breakfast down in the JCR. I thought of Brooks and all you Prexians and missed Brooks more than a little bit. Can't wait to be chilling in our JCR again at the end of next month! Luckily, however, I got a little Brooks fix -- Amber and I finally caught up with one another and went to see Les Miserables together, along with two of the girls on the trip with me. Our seats were awful, and we were a little late (did a lot of getting just a little bit lost today), but it was still utterly and wonderfully amazing. I cried so much, lol. It was just beautiful. I can now officially check that one off my list of things to do before I die. Also, little random side note, the usher who took me upstairs and waited with me to show me my seat was ridiculously good looking: tall, thin, short red hair, really nice, and - of course - British. It made missing the first 20 min of the show bearable to say the least, lol.

Most of the other things we hit today were repeat sights for me -- Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace (Though, they were having their annual flower show, so that was rather exciting! Full of press and things.), fish and chips, etc. I never mind going back to those things, though, because there's always something new to see or discover. On the coronation robe, for example, Jenna and I discovered that the flowers of the three main countries in the UK are represented (thistle, clover, and rose) and that these are echoed on the sheath of the coronation sword. Thought that was kind of neat.

Ok, like I said, early morning tomorrow! Laters! :-)

  2. When I first read this, it didn't make sense at all. Then, I realized that you weren't talking about "our" JCR. 8^( I guess it makes sense, though. 8^)
